He is the Founding partner
of Rasheed, Rage & Nassir Advocates. He has extensive experience
and in-depth knowledge in real estate, environmental and planning law,
aviation, project finance, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, joint
ventures and private equity, commercial litigation and arbitration. He is one
of the most renowned lawyers in Kenya with respect to real estate, project
development, planning and environmental law.
He has dealt with complicated land issues in
Kenya and undertaken many complex company restructurings, realizations and
schemes of arrangement for banks. He has advised on numerous mergers and
acquisition transactions including one of the largest multi-million takeovers
in Kenya.
A.Rashid has been involved extensively in
commercial litigation and arbitration. he has represented and advised a diverse
portfolio of local and international clients on disputes filed before various
courts and statutory tribunals. He has dealt with complex tax and revenue
disputes involving substantial amounts of money as well as disputes arising
from large public procurement and public private partnerships projects.
